A Community-Led Conference
Where we create kindness together!
This Kindness Conference isn't built around speakers or PowerPoint presentations. Instead, it's built around community. Through guided introductions, activities, discussions, and sharing experiences, we'll practice the skills that help build meaningful relationships and kind community.

What We'll Do Together
Connect
Meet others looking for kind community!
Take Space When Needed
Speak, listen, observe, or pass. Step out, move, rest, or take a break anytime.
Join Group Discussions
What are differences between the community you want and our community today? What steps, no matter how small, can we take to achieve it?
Come as You Are
Attend alone or with someone you know. You don't need to arrive knowing anyone or knowing what to expect.
Lunch
We'll share a meal together!
Build What Comes Next
Build kind community infrastructures beyond the conference through dinners, meetings, practical help, and other ways of showing up for one another.

Who is This Conference For?
This conference brings together people who want to create practical pathways toward kinder and better resourced community. Anyone who wants our communities to be more kind and connected––you are welcome here!
We want to create safe-enough and kind-enough spaces where people who have experienced isolation, exclusion, harm, or profound unkindness can have a new experience.
We build communities where people do not need to disclose their experiences or identify themselves in any particular way to have their dignity, boundaries, and participation respected.
You do not need to:
-
Have any prior experience
-
Identify yourself in any certain way
-
Already know anyone there

Why this Gathering Matters
How do we build communities centered on kindness to help people belong and support one another through the years ahead?
People have needs that are difficult to meet alone—and people also have time, knowledge, skills, relationships, resources, and other forms of help they can contribute.
What if we became better at bringing those things together?
The Kindness Conference is one place to practice building the relationships, skills, and shared ways of helping that make kind community possible.
